Feeling happy now.

Wowsers what a crazy few months we have been having… A real life roller coaster ride.

Back in January, hearing new about China’s epidemic, a new strain of virus, seemed so far from our lives, I never imagined the way it would change our lives so significantly.

Everyone has been affected in one way or another and we each have had to make changes. It has been very stressful at times and I cannot imagine what it must be like to live with the anxiety that I felt if only for a few weeks, each and every day. You guys are warriors!

March saw us leave our regular exercise routines and clear a space in lounge rooms, sheds, on driveways and decks for Zoom workouts across our homes. With what I thought would be a really difficult time, it actually kept me quite sane, knowing what day it was and still being able to see my clients happy faces and provide some sort of normality to our days at home. It turned out to be a whole new way of delivering exercise and staying connected to others.

And we did it! Kept our exercise routine up, saved our fitness level from dropping off completely, and even saw some people starting out, creating new habits during this time. It was also fabulous to see some faces from those that live afar. While it was not quite the same, the accountability was definitely helpful - I’m 100% positive that if we had have stopped altogether, today would have been soooo much harder to start back up.

And just like that, here we are in June, with small groups running outdoors in Woodwark and the first CIRCUIT session returning to the outdoor basketball court today in Cannonvale, it is so nice to be able to run and chat and exercise with a renewed level of motivation and energy.

A couple of new faces welcomed, a tough workout and everyone is happy. It’s amazing to realise how important being in touch (1.5m apart of course) with others is, if only for the time of a workout. It really does set you up for the day ahead with a better mood, and a feeling of connection.

Onwards and upwards, let’s strive!

Thanks so much for joining me.
