Never to OLD?!

It should be about ability NOT about age.

Yes, are there changes our bodies do go through as we get older? Sure.... BUT to say that a NUMBER dictates what you are able to do is somewhat unfair.

ABILITY, posture, goals, these should all dictate what we do. Not your AGE.

I'll always be happy to provide exercises for "issues." Balance issues. Knee pain. Immobility. But honestly people of ALL ages may or may not have these things.

So if someone were to ask if I would give a healthy 30 year old and 60 year old the same program.... my answer would be yes.... YES if they both had other factors that are the same. (I would have to know their goals, current fitness level, injuries, posture... the things that actually dictate whether I can program them both the same...

Because guess what?

Age doesn't mean you CAN'T do something... just the same as age doesn't mean you should be ALLOWED to do exercises or weights as well.

Everything should be considered, be based on goals, injuries, mobility and history.

I'm proud to have older adults among my clients, and will always encourage participation at any level, a level to suit the individual.

One thing I know that I want for myself as well as to share with others.... is that as we head into our older adult years and even if you are already there, or maybe this is along way off for you... however is to still be able to move well and be strong enough to perform every day activities such as getting up the stairs, getting out of cars, couches and carrying the shopping….. with not to much trouble
